Merilyn Tevlin - Diploma in Complementary and Sports Injury Therapies
At the beginning of the placement I found it very difficult being away from home and in a different country, however this didn't last long as i developed a strong bond with the other participants that had traveled with me. during the placement i feel I have developed many different skills, I learned some new treatments and these treatments will be very beneficial for the future. I also put into practice all the treatments that I had been learning and became very confident doing them. I also became very good with my time keeping during treatments. I developed many skills such as improving my communication and independence while living abroad. I feel I have become more confident in myself and in doing the treatments i have been training in.after returning I feel I am more employable for doing a work placement in a different country. this will benefit me in the future also if I choose to travel as I now have experience working abroad.

i enjoyed the different skills i learned on my Erasmus. I found the different way of life difficult for the first few days but felt more confident as i settled in. the climate was good, i enjoyed the culture and picking up some of the Spanish language. i improved my communication skills as i had to work with clients from all over the world and many of them didn't speak English. i improved my confidence a lot in both my work and my everyday life. i made a lot of new friends from my work experience. this opportunity has helped me decide on my future career and what i want and don't wait.

The placement was located in a nice place and was very safe. I liked the fact that the workers were very nice and were ready to help, even if they just met me. I loved the fact that the products were available for me and they let me to use it. I have more confidence when I am doing treatment and I know to organise my time and products efficiently. I made friends in Tenerife and I we contact each other even after I came back. I developed communication skills as I needed to speak in English and also in Spanish and French. The Erasmus + experience it was a great opportunity to expends my knowledge and learn about an other country. I think that Erasmus+ experience will help me in future to adapt more easier to other facilities and to work with others, also to communicate in different languages.

I improved my personal skills and technical skills. I was enjoying doing beauty treatments in my work placement. I would like to open up my own spa one day.
